Lifespan Personality & Health

Dan Mroczek, Director

This group studies the role of individual differences variables, especially personality traits, in determining health and longevity.

We also study long-term longitudinal change in personality and examine how such change influences health and longevity.  We are also breaking new ground in precision medicine and translational personality research by using personality traits and other individual differences variables to predict hospital- and patient-based outcomes.

This form of individualized medicine -- personality-based precision medicine – can be used to target and tailor treatments and interventions in an effective manner.
