Research Operations is responsible for operationalizing the funded research projects of the Department of Medical Social Sciences.
The team supports administrative aspects of research projects including:
- Preparing and maintaining IRB and annual progress report
- Recruiting research participant; collecting consent
- Collecting data
- Coordinating projects
- Maintaining data integrity and quality
The Research Operations team is comprised of those who work at the research assistant level, with primary responsibility for data collection, and those at the study coordinator level, with responsibility for coordination of study activities, communication and functioning as the liaison with data collection sites. Operations staff also participates in qualitative data collection via focus groups and individual cognitive interviews. Our staff includes bilingual (English/Spanish) members
